Bring dramatic, painterly life to flat coastal RAW files. Designed to solve the lifeless grey conditions typical of Pacific Northwest shorelines, Steve's Coastal Vibrance converts pale, overcast exposures into striking, luminous fine-art landscapes.
Luminous Sky Transformation: Strips away flat overcast greys, infusing cloud cover with vibrant sweeps of warm amber, rose-gold, and electric sunset hues.
Cool Coastal Contrast: Cools down wet sand, tide pools, and foam into rich steel-blues and teals, creating a high-impact complementary color balance against the warm sky.
Defined Foreground Anchoring: Deepens muted treelines, sea stacks, and shorelines into crisp, ink-black silhouettes that add immediate visual depth.

1 Mobile Preset (.dng)
Step-by-step Installation Guide
Note: Because this preset applies heavy color calibration shifts and tone curve manipulation to revive flat light, it is best applied to landscape images shot during twilight, golden hour, or under broken cloud cover. You may need to fine-tune your Exposure and Temperature/Tint sliders to match your specific camera sensor's starting point.
Tidal Mirror by Steven Breaz
Rising from the wet sands of Ruby Beach in Olympic National Park, a tree-crowned sea stack stands in quiet solitude against a muted coastal sky. Captured in rich, high-contrast monochrome, this fine art print highlights the dramatic symmetry between rugged Pacific Northwest wilderness and its mirror reflection on the tide-washed shoreline.
A timeless piece that brings calm, contemplative depth to modern homes, gallery walls, or minimalist spaces.

Enter the Upside Down. A love letter to the golden era of 1980s sci-fi and the eerie, atmospheric color grading of Stranger Things, this signature preset instantly pulls your scene into another dimension. Designed to completely overhaul your skies, it replaces natural light with a brooding, supernatural atmosphere that feels simultaneously nostalgic and ominous.
This is an aggressive, highly stylized cinematic tool. It is built to shift flat, uninteresting skies into a toxic palette of bruised pinks, deep purples, and unnatural teals, while intentionally crushing the foreground to create stark, dramatic silhouettes.
The Aesthetic:
The Upside Down Palette: Injects a distinct sci-fi thriller color grade directly into your highlights and midtones, creating an immediate sense of cinematic tension.
Dramatic Silhouettes: Aggressively deepens the shadows in foreground elements—like winter trees or urban architecture—to push the viewer's eye straight into the otherworldly sky.
Analog Nostalgia: Mimics the heavy, atmospheric density of vintage 1982 cinema, giving modern digital files a gripping, narrative weight.
What’s Included:
1 Desktop Preset (.xmp)
1 Mobile Preset (.dng)
Step-by-step Installation Guide
Note: This is an extreme color-shift preset that performs best on images with distinct silhouettes and open, expansive skies. Because it heavily manipulates camera calibration and tone curves, you may need to adjust your White Balance (Temp/Tint) sliders to perfectly align the purple and pink hues with your original exposure.
Find the brilliance in the gloom. Designed specifically for the heavy, diffused light of an overcast or rainy day, this signature preset turns a flat grey sky from a disadvantage into a massive, natural softbox. It is built to isolate single subjects—particularly vibrant florals—and elevate the delicate micro-textures that are often lost in harsh sunlight.
This preset is highly specialized for close-up and macro photography. By deepening the shadows of the surrounding wet soil and foliage, it creates a rich, high-contrast backdrop that allows the vivid reds, oranges, and yellows of the flower to completely command the viewer's attention.
The Aesthetic:
Micro-Contrast Enhancement: Specially tuned to bring out the razor-sharp clarity and reflections inside tiny water droplets and the velvety texture of petals.
Saturated Isolation: Supercharges the natural color saturation of the primary subject while suppressing distracting background elements, mimicking the look of fast, high-end telephoto glass.
The Overcast Advantage: Neutralizes the dull, flat greys of a rainy day, turning them into deep, moody shadows that push your subject forward in the frame.
What’s Included:

1 Mobile Preset (.dng)
Step-by-step Installation Guide
Note: This preset is optimized for images shot in soft, diffused, or rainy lighting conditions. If applied to a photo taken in direct, harsh sunlight, the colors may appear overly saturated and the shadows too intense. You may need to adjust your Shadows and Vibrance sliders depending on how close you are to your subject.
Step into the silver screen. Designed to evoke the timeless, high-contrast atmosphere of classic 1920s cinema and the gritty elegance of vintage gangster films, this signature black-and-white preset strips away digital distractions to reveal the raw, dramatic emotion of your scene.
This preset is an absolute problem-solver for difficult, mixed lighting. Built specifically to handle chaotic color casts—like the unpredictable wash of LED theater spotlights or harsh indoor venue lighting—it translates those frustrating color temperatures into a rich, cohesive monochromatic study. It excels in bringing out the intricate textures of urban architecture, the dramatic chiaroscuro of stage performances, and the commanding presence of a portrait.
The Aesthetic:
Cinematic Monochrome: Delivers deep, inky blacks and crisp, silvery highlights without muddying the mid-tones.
The Rescue Edit: Instantly neutralizes unfixable color casts, turning a technically flawed, mixed-light photo into a deliberate, fine-art black and white image.
Timeless Texture: Enhances the micro-contrast in architectural details, stage costumes, and dramatic facial lighting to give modern digital files an authentic, analog weight.
What’s Included:
1 Desktop Preset (.xmp)
1 Mobile Preset (.dng)
Step-by-step Installation Guide
Note: While incredibly versatile for rescuing indoor and theatrical lighting, this preset heavily manipulates global contrast. You may need to slightly adjust your Exposure and Shadows sliders to protect the details in your subject's face, depending on how dark your original exposure was in camera.
Transform your skies into a canvas. Inspired by the impressionistic color palettes of Claude Monet and the surreal, lucid-dream atmosphere of the film Vanilla Sky, this signature preset is designed to make your images feel vividly alive.
This is not a subtle, everyday filter. It is a heavy, highly stylized edit that acts as a deliberate artistic tool. Built to elevate dramatic sunsets, deepen foreground silhouettes, and infuse your skies with rich, cinematic color harmony, it turns a fleeting moment into a gallery-ready study.
The Aesthetic:
Lucid & Surreal: Pulls intense, dreamlike pinks, purples, and teals out of the clouds to create immediate visual impact.
Painterly Atmosphere: Gives modern digital files the emotional weight and smooth color transitions of a fine-art painting.
High-Impact Contrast: Perfectly balances bright, explosive skies with deep, clean silhouettes (ideal for stadium architecture, treelines, or urban skylines).
What’s Included:
1 Desktop Preset (.xmp)
1 Mobile Preset (.dng)
Step-by-step Installation Guide
Note: Because this is a heavily stylized preset, it will not work perfectly on every single photo with one click. It is best applied to images with existing sunset or sunrise light. You may need to slightly adjust your Exposure and Temperature sliders to match your specific camera's starting point.
A year of patience in the Pacific Northwest, distilled into a single, seamless composite. This piece documents the moon’s progression not just as a timeline, but as an exercise in uncompromising detail. Every single moon in this sequence was individually captured at a staggering 61 megapixels. Combined, they create a massive 3GB+ master file of pure optical data. That extreme resolution means this piece doesn't just hold up at large print sizes—it demands them. Whether viewed from across the room or up close, the razor-sharp clarity allows you to trace the sweeping rays of the Tycho crater and the subtle textures of the lunar maria with your own eyes.

Sound & Steel by Steven Breaz
The MoPOP’s metal skin becomes a study in motion—panels of gold and silver bending like fabric under tension. A bright ribbon of light slices across the façade, turning rivets and seams into rhythm and structure. Shot in Seattle, Washington, this frame isn’t about documenting a building—it’s about translating an icon into pure abstraction: geometry, glow, and the quiet energy of the city’s creative core.

A low band of fog drifts across open ground, softening the barns and fence line into silhouettes while a streaked, high-contrast sky pulls the eye upward. The image lives in that in-between moment—when the land goes quiet, the light gets honest, and the world feels paused. Deep blacks anchor the frame; luminous grays in the clouds carry the mood. It’s minimal, cinematic, and built for large-scale monochrome printing.

The aurora borealis descends like a shimmering curtain, draping the night in bands of emerald and violet flame. Captured during the great geomagnetic storm of May 2024 from a dark stretch of the Snoqualmie River Valley, this image weaves together two visions of power: the silhouetted grid of human invention and the unfathomable energy of the cosmos.
The power lines cut across the luminous sky, not as intrusions, but as reminders — our engineered currents dwarfed by the vast electric veil that pulses above us. Starlight scatters through the glow, adding a quiet rhythm to a scene both grounded and celestial.

Two late-spring nights in the darkest bowl of the Mojave, timed to the new moon on May 16 for maximum star contrast and clean, stackable skies. We’ll work Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes for S-curve compositions at golden hour, then push into blue hour → astro with tracked and untracked Milky Way plates. Sunrise options include Badwater Basin’s polygon salt crust, the ochres of Zabriskie Point, and elevated twilight from Dante’s View. May brings warm tones, steady air, and the Galactic Core arcing low enough for foreground-first storytelling—expect graphic silhouettes, rim-lit grasses, long-exposure dune textures, and pinpoint star fields over minimal light domes.
Two late-summer nights in hydrothermal country timed for the new-moon window (Aug 12–13) and the Perseids peak—dark, crisp skies with occasional meteor streaks over rivers, geyser basins, and lodgepole silhouettes. Evenings begin with warm alpenglow on the Madison and Gibbon river corridors, then blue hour at safe, boardwalk-accessible features where steam catches twilight color. After astronomical dark, we’ll work sky plates over clean foregrounds—travertine terraces, dead-snag “cathedrals,” and reflective pools—then finish at first light with mist on the Firehole and grand scenery from Hayden/Yellowstone Lake. Nights are cool, air is typically stable, and wildlife activity is high—expect mood and texture.
Two late-summer nights on the Snake River plain beneath the Teton ramparts, timed to the waning-crescent → new-moon window (new moon ~Aug 12–13) for dark skies and clean, stackable star fields. We’ll work Schwabacher Landing and Oxbow Bend for mirror-still reflections at golden/blue hour, scout Mormon Row/Antelope Flats for minimalist barns-vs-peaks silhouettes, and climb to Signal Mountain or Snake River Overlook for layered tele-landscapes. August brings stable evenings, cool nights, and the Galactic Core arcing through the south after midnight—perfect for foreground-first storytelling with alpine dawns to follow.
Mount Rainier Adventure — 2 Nights (Sunrise & Subalpine Lakes)
Two alpine evenings at the roof of the Cascades: we’ll work the sculpted ridgelines and wildflower basins around Sunrise as golden light fades, then settle at a mirror-still subalpine lake (e.g., the Tipsoo Lake area at Chinook Pass) for blue-hour foreground plates and, weather permitting, the Milky Way lifting over Rainier’s icy crown. Expect crisp mountain air, lingering snow patches early season, and night skies that feel close enough to touch—perfect for reflections, clean stackable skies, and a natural blue-hour-plus-astro blend.
Two midsummer evenings on the wild edge of Olympic National Park: we’ll work the sculpted driftwood and tidepools of Kalaloch at golden hour, then settle near the iconic Tree of Life beaches as twilight deepens and (weather permitting) the Milky Way lifts over a restless Pacific. Expect mood—sea mist, low surf haze, and glowing horizons—perfect for blue-hour foreground plates, long-exposure water texture, and clean, stackable night skies when the marine layer breaks. We’ll time our sessions to favorable tides for safe access and graphic leading lines, with sunrise options for coastal fog and shorebird silhouettes. Field-first, small-group, and zero fluff—just unforgettable coast light and a repeatable night workflow you can take anywhere.
